Orienteering at Eastham Country Park
Scouts from Maclaren Troop met to practice their map reading and orienteering skills in preparation for the Beavan Challenge Competition at Eastham Country Park. The Beavan Challenge is a fun packed Scout competition that brings together teams of Scouts and Explorer Scouts from all over Merseyside. In the Beavan Challenge teams of three Scouts compete against each other in canoeing, hiking, mountain biking and air rifle shooting. They also have a first aid challenge and a Scout Project, which can be anything from building catapults to making a rope bridge.
